Curriculum... pre-dance Ages 3-5 Pre-ballet and tap with song and dance ballet Ages 6 & up Elementary - Correct posture and basic technique is stressed laying the foundation of classical ballet training. Intermediate & Advanced - Graded classes according to ability rather than age for students who attain required standards of proficiency. pointe Ages 10 & up Pointe work requires a minimun of three years of training and a minimun of twice a week ballet classes. Decision as to who and when pointe will be undertaken is determined by the instructor on an individual basis. jazz Ages 6 & up Elementary - Little or no dance experience required. Intermediate - Prior dance experience in either ballet or jazz required. hip-hop Ages 6 & up MTV and modern social-type dancing. lyrical Ages 10 & up Dance set to lyrics or instrumental that tell a story. Prior experience in ballet, modern or jazz required. tap Ages 5 & up Al Gilbert Barre and Debbie Dee technique - placement by age and skill. theater dance Ages 7 & up All aspects of Broadway musical theater dance. irish step dance Ages 4 & up Soft shoe level to hard toe.
